Quick Update

So, school has been kicking my ass lately, and I haven't had the time to make the effort of posting.  But, here are a few really positive things that have happened in the last month or so.  All relating to me really getting on the grind with my photography.

-Found out this week I'm now the official photographer for Menace Beach, which is Tally's monthly dance party.
-Also got hooked up with Party Foulz, so you'll be able to check out what Menace Beach is all about on the Party Foulz site.
-Went to Harvest of Hope with Spanish Gamble, had a shit ton of fun and
made contacts with some other bands.
-Ryan from Spanish Gamble has guarenteed me a press pass for The Fest 8 in Gainesville.
-Also, shot photos of a couple bands on St. Patty's day, and got my first posi-jump photo!  Robert from Homemade Handgrenade.

That is all for now, there's a whole bunch of new stuff up on my Flickr, go check it out and leave me some feedback!

Dirty Money

Dirty Money is from Gainesville.  They played a show in the shed at OAF on Friday night.  It was a small turnout, but a lot of fun nonetheless.

Good tunes, and good dudes.  I talked to most of the members before and after the show around the bonfire, and they all seemed like solid people.  Give 'em a listen.

2008: Year in Review

+Spending New Year's Eve in Amsterdam w/ my best friend of 16 years

+Raging throughout a couple countries in Europe w/ the same kid, and a whole bunch of other randos

-all the time we spent in airports because of the Europe excursion
+Continued to fuck around and not do shit while working at Pita Pit
+Got a girlfriend
-Things went sour with said girlfriend in under 2 months
+Turned 21

+Enjoyed the perks of being 21
-Spent way too much money at BackBooth because of being 21
+Josh Call always hooking me up on my vodka crans
-Not getting to spend 4th of July on the lake in Noblesville, like I always do
+Playing water polo with Call to Preserve and other assorted friends for a couple hours on 4th of July
-Housing problems Autumn and I faced, because of our own procrastination
-Being homeless for a little over a month
-Developing an intense drinking habit while coping with not knowing wtf the next day would hold for me
+Jeff Larchar being an amazing friend and letting me squat at his house for a month
+Deciding to move to Tallahasse
+Finding a roommate quickly, that was also a rad person

+Everyone's hospitality in Tally
-Not being able to find a job
+Six Five Sam moving to Tally, FINALLY
+Avoiding 99% of the drama in Tally
+Spending XMas in Noblesville
+Having one of the best winter breaks, while really doing nothing

So, by that tally system, my year was twice as positive, as it was negative. Rad! So thanks to everyone that helped that out. Hopefully I get my shit together with school in 2009.

Jeeps Are Fun!

So, I went to Southern Indiana today with my friend Connor

We met up with a group from the Jeep forums he posts on.  Riding trails in a Jeep is a shit-ton of fun.  Also, it made for some pretty good photo ops.

Also, my Dad likes to make ridiculous expressions when I put my camera in his face.  This has no relevance to offroading, I just think this picture is funny.

Is it weird?

That I'm stoked on this:

Seriously though, it feels like it's 20 below here. Which means it feels like it's 73 degrees colder than Tallahassee, and 91 degrees colder than central Florida.

Now it feels like Christmas to me.

Home for the Holidaze

So, I'm leaving Tallahassee tomorrow.  My parents are picking me up and we're driving up to see my sister.  She lives here:

Edit, here:   Even though my sister keeps telling me that Huntsville isn't that bad, I'm glad we're only staying for a night.

Then finally, my return to

Way stoked.  I should return to Florida around the 3rd.
